Dr. Kumud Kumar Dhital is an internationally acclaimed Cardiothoracic Surgeon with over 25 years of experience and leadership in advanced heart and lung surgery, including pioneering work in transplantation. He is the Program & Surgical Director, Heart & Lung Transplantation and MCS at Institutes of Heart-Lung Transplant & MCS, Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, Chennai. Dr Dhital (Regn No. 161581) with his team, provides thoracic transplant services to the wider Apollo network nationally. Dr. Dhital, of Nepali origin and educated in the United Kingdom, is a science graduate (BSc) with a research degree (PhD) from the University of London, and obtained his medical degree (BMBCh) from the University of Oxford. His medical postgraduate qualifications include the FRCS in General and FRCS-CTh in Specialist Cardiothoracic Surgical (FRCS-CTh) training in the UK, and the FRACS from Australia.
